When the bubble pops, these data centers will be useless with no customers to buy their services. The GPUs will be useless in 3 years so they can't even wait out the crash like the housing market. So banks and investors are stuck holding the bag with useless data centers and GPUs.

I think there's a weird standoff until Jan 1 as well - exiting equity positions would mean you would realize capital gains in the 2025 tax year, and with a hot market that could be a hefty bill. I wonder how many people are holding out for another five weeks...
