I teared up at this beautiful story from Ed Wood’s Hollywood Rat Race about a personal appearance by an aged Bela Lugosi who feared he’d been consigned to the dustbin (sorry about the bad screenshots)

I read the first issue of Tom Taylor’s terrible Superman book several months after it came out, couldn’t remember the controversy surrounding it, then immediately remembered as soon as I saw the character with pink hair because that’s the only way cape comics know to depict gay people

Really loved The Public Enemy (1931). Cagney is incredible and the way it keeps the violence mostly offscreen makes it so brutal.
