No, he had his phone out for numerous extended periods. He was not checking the time... that was his excuse afterward. When he was asked to put his phone away, he refused. Only then was he asked to leave. The New Bev has a strict cellphone policy. Everyone who's ever been there knows this.

I go to the New Bev at least once a week. I have almost never seen anyone pull out a cell phone there. And if they do, this is what happens every time.
