Far from enforcing their policies, publishers *hide* PISS.
We learned most publisher policies ACTIVELY hide PISS by altering article metadata post-hoc.

At a *minimum* #Frontiers, #Elsevier, #MDPI all do it publicly! Yikes. 🤯

Kamran Abbasi, the editor-in-chief of @bmj.com, says they "continue to investigate a range of issues relating to this paper".

The main thread of their investigation, apparently, is giving the authors an indefinite period of time to fabricate a new, more convincing dataset.
