One of the worst insidiously ingenious scams Trump dreamed up was to accuse everyone else of his notorious crimes and sins. The accused protest their innocence, as anyone would. Then when Trump declares *his* innocence for actual crimes/sins committed, he sounds like everyone else. It’s maddening.

“I’m gonna send you a $2000 rebate check. You just pay the processing, shipping and a slight handler’s fee of $125 in advance. What could be easier? Send it today to get your check tomorrow! Thank you for your attention to this matter. Your favorite president in the history of presidents DJT.”

The old catchphrase "run the government like a business" has never made sense, definitionally. Most government services are things no business would ever do, because not all human needs can be contorted into a profit-generating activity.

So a crime even if it would’ve been sidestepped by Trump’s fascist DOJ. What a clusterfuck.

I think about this whenever there’s a scam charge on my credit card bill and the company ALWAYS just blithely writes it off with no investigation or sense of urgency about addressing massive fraud rings.

It took a long time to figure out from that run-along-anywhere-you-please sentence who she wanted us to know had called her pretty. (Also, as an elder myself, sometimes we say innocuous things cuz there’s nothing more substantial to say about the person…)

At a time when the military is being led by a bigoted anti-constitutionalist pretty boy tv host from a partisan network, it seems worth pursuing the possibility that the site was bought to rein in real reporting and simply parrot the regime’s fantasies and lies as part of the march towards fascism.
