Although I respect & understand their point of view I do not take well to being attacked/accused/vitriol. While we agreed to disagree I felt that it was best to pull out of the project. I get attacked on a daily basis for just existing,being disabled,supporting GBLTQ,being overweight and I'm over it

However they felt that my using a meme generator/AI to make a free sticker in support of transpeople in the hacking community was "killing art" and hurting artists I felt that having spent over $10k of my own money, working extra jobs to cover expenses and paying artists (no 'exposure' BS) was clear

As anyone who has worked with me knows, I pay my artists, and they get paid up front - no waiting for sales to pay them. I am indie , and I don't run patreon nor gofund me - everything is paid 100% out of pocket. I do not use AI for anything that involves making money. I never will.

I had to do something hard today. I had to take a pass on having one of my stories published in an anthology of graphic novel stories. It would have been good to be published and there was a chance at $ , but they came at me harshly for using a meme generator to make a sticker as "AI killing art"

I remember this song well. To me is represented living up to other people's expectations at the expense of their own. They became things that other people wanted or expected of them, but at the cost of never asking 'what do I want?'. Things that "may have made me complete".
