the Echo shaped Sophus's life in a way nothing else has. he awoke to it ~270 years ago after meeting with Hydaelyn, and it gave him a vision of the future—all ~270 years of it. MSQ as we know it, only concluding with his death during Thavnair's Final Days/humanity's subsequent flight from the star.

in my first-ever run of Bismarck for MSQ, I accidentally walked off the edge before the fight even started...and this was back when you couldn't raise people who fell. AND I was a healer, so they ended up wiping to simple damage. on a normal trial. excruciating!
