the more i read about what’s happening in the usa and uk, the more presses for young people to express their political beliefs close shop (ex. teen vogue), the more i believe the older and wealthier people with power are striving to foster a rowdy, anti-intellectual youth culture.

Even in the most well meaning threads with LRT, people just in the comments still will point at character ages and think that's the problem and not behavior. How you see these posts and reply like "well most people just like to profile people out of caution" or "if only kids media had more adults"

the idea that you have to respect fictional ages in terms of sexual attraction one of the worst things to happen to online discussion of anome and games
During the peak of this type of behavior I'd be genuinely scared to repost pictures of characters I did not know, cause no matter how full bodied and mature their design looked, someone might come in and be like ".... Uhm excuse me she's actually 17, as stated in episde 4 of season 2--"
but I guess a lot of people are stuck in this sorta "wikification" of art that the internet seems to have latched onto the past 10-15 or so years
what you and I experience while engaging with the art is irrelevant to the cold hard "facts" of canon
