I went to see Godzilla Minus One when it came out, and there was a family in front of me with two kids that were too young to read. The movie's in Japanese with subtitles.
The dad was narrating at full voice until one of the kids got bored and pulled out an iPad and played with THAT at full volume.

If they did an alternate-past-through-music thing like Bioshock: Infinite did, that would be super cool. I think subverting the 50s aesthetic is too good to let go of.
