Bsky can be hard for people to get started on because it doesn't spoon feed you engaging rage bait and it's entirely what you make it.

i've seen people describing bluesky as a twitter with subreddits, but to be honest with how you can post anything and it gets picked up by feeds full of the same topic, i see it more as a twitter with... discord servers... kind of?
especially with the posts being sorted by most recent on every feed

i've seen people describing bluesky as a twitter with subreddits, but to be honest with how you can post anything and it gets picked up by feeds full of the same topic, i see it more as a twitter with... discord servers... kind of?

alright so im learning about bluesky, the feeds and interactions and it makes me quite hopeful that it actually can be quite nice!
right now im wondering - do these options do anything for my feeds and if im not using the discover tab at all?

any attempts at using bluesky more are kind of difficult, because no matter what the feed is forcing so much political content that it's more exhausting than twitter's feed most of the time

i'm thinking about being a bit more active in here, showing progress on what i work on...
i have a little trouble posting things in-progess because i'm a perfectionist, and showing things in their unfinished state just doesn't feel right...

I really wanted to make myself a personal website and bluesky now might be just the thing that'll get me to do it soon (i want a cool custom handle :3)
