Fifty-something left-curious liberal.
Weird old drunk with a Walter Tkachuk fixation. #LGR
You know, Steve Owen and Jim Lee Howell are only somewhat dead.

3 AI companies just went broke trying to mimic Cuomo having human emotions other than hate and greed.

Dunno if it's a New York thing or an every team thing that we only notice in New York teams. Just saw someone list their top 3 choices to replace Brian Daboll for the Giants and Nos. 1 and 2 were Jon Gruden and Bill Cowher.

Seriously?!

There's a trivia site called Sporcle that has a lot of hockey quizzes. Otherwise, I would never have known Linseman was anything but a Flyer.

And FWIW, Marchand is way better than Linseman, but Linseman is very underrated as a player.

I'm note sure if I should be angry that the writers stole "the Rat" from Linseman and "The Little Ball of Hate" from Verbeek and gave 'em both to Marchand or that all the good nicknames were taken before Marchy got to the NHL.

Bobby Clarke was an incredibly hockey player too. Doesn't make him any less of a punk.

Random thoughts: I read "A Tale of Two Cities," 38 years after I was assigned it and enjoyed it. Then I tried to read "Great Expectations." Made it through about 8 pages.

I am reminded of the several-page digression on eating Cap'n Crunch that nearly led my to burn my copy of Cryptonomicon.

I think there's some selection bias too. The whole team was a mess, so the plays where he was out of position or behind the play or whatever popped more.

And the only reason he wasn't a 70 point player was that he missed 10 games. And the only reasons he wasn't an 80 point player is that he missed 10 games and the Rangers PP puck luck was HORRENDOUS in the second half of the season. Underlying metrics were OK, but nothing went in.

Agreed. Most hard leftists I know want every President since WWI underneath the jail. Some, like Trump, they just want buried deeper.

Gonna wait for a source other than the little blue people who talk to Gary Busey before taking shots at Chelsea for anything new.
September 3, 2025 at 4:04 PM
Right?! Pretty much everyone that I know whose politics are to the left of Al Gore is like, "If Clinton's on the list, bury him under the jail!"

Whatever warm fuzzies Democrats in general have for the Big Dog, they are long, long gone.

My stepson went to space camp as a teenager... in Huntsville.

Dumbasses.

I will applaud you most heartily, for all the times clever, but inappropriate, gems have hit the back of my teeth, and no one was able to applaud me for such heroism as you here display.

Because the whole Regency Era is like the Masque of the Red Death before midnight.

My friend group in college had both guys and girls, and my conclusion was there was far more overlap in straight guys' dream girls than there was in straight girls' dream guys.

This surprises me, because usually it's the other way around. New Yorkers like Boston and Bostonians *hate* New York.

In all fairness, he's only leaving it open because he's too frail to close it.
