Suozzi has been awful for a long time. The joy of giving George Santos the hook was definitely offset by putting this schmuck back into a position of visibility and power.

I mean, I blame every president of the last 40 years for driving this notion home and expanding the power of the executive with each successive occupant of the White House, plus the President + Supreme Court combo has had things on lock since hanging chads
Not sure whose fault it is primarily that most people don't seem to know that the president is basically a manager whose job is to carry out the will of Congress, and not The Country's Boss
This “explicit” is a weird editorial choice. The constitution gives the president no power over this at all. It’s not ambiguous.

I have never seen so many public servants protest the mismanagement of a government. Trumpists will point to this as proof of the deep state, but the reality is that these are professionals who are desperately trying to get the public to understand how bad things are.

I asked DC mayor Muriel Bowser if the "crime emergency" would end in 30 days. Sounded like maybe not.

Do folks know that there are teams of people out in DC EVERY NIGHT until all hours to record what ICE. DHS, MPD etc are doing? I don't think those outside DC know that. They think people are passive or in support. Total lie. There's so much going on here. Hope other cities take tactical note.
