Sometimes people realise things. Sometimes the break is abrupt. It is easy for me to believe that under the right kind of pressure someone who was very loudly a piece of shit about certain types of people might suddenly find themselves having to very embarrassingly and publicly eat their words.

I was never a Nazi; I was a normie with unexamined right-wing views. I knew racism and sexism were wrong, but I thought that, for example, the only reason I was still on welfare was that I wasn’t incentivised to get off it. I had (mild) opinions on trans women in sports, even.

I got a letter notifying me that I was a category 4 on the outpatient endoscopy waiting list, without clarifying further. I've only ever had procedures graded on the scale corresponding to (1) here so I assumed this was a local or undocumented downward extension of that scale

PSA since it would be possible for other Queensland Health users to fuck up the same way:

1) For every other outpatient procedure that I can find, urgency grades are 1 to 3, in descending order of urgency

2) For endoscopy *only*, they're 4 to 6, in descending order of urgency

I live in Brisbane, a major capital city with a metro area population about the same as Seattle's. My internet drops for several minutes every 30 minutes on any day on which it gets hot. This is Australia. That's most days
