I’m in Brisbane, but because of Australian states’ characteristic urbanisation pattern (many more tiny settlements than mid-sized or huge ones) most people elsewhere in Queensland or NSW see Brisbane as including all of South East Queensland

Thinking about this because I just ran some numbers about distances to therapists in my city, and I realised that the definition of my city as understood by people outside it is such that if I picked the right start and end points I could drive ~150 km mostly straight and still be in the same city

I've been looking into attachment theory, which is obviously on the verge of becoming the new zodiac sign thing. I think I might have the avoidant attachment style. The thing I've noticed most about it is that the shit people will say about avoidants is fucking wild. "Worse than murder and rape"!

It is pretty much the only place in all of Norway where trans people can get access to state-funded gender affirming surgeries. All other facilities/doctors that attempt to give other forms of gender affirming care are constantly being investigated and shut down.

i think the point of this is to ensure that no patient does trust them, and since as i understand it this facility has a monopoly on trans healthcare over there this will disincentivize trans people from coming out and seeking treatment at all.
