I say this as someone who spends a lot of time visiting my partner’s family in Vermont: the place has a lot of people who are both 100% solid Democrats AND who also live in Vermont in large part because they fear and dislike other human beings

Ah, okay, I’ll get a copy through Book Culture (I try to buy from indie bookstores as much as possible and minimize my Amazon spend). Should I sent to FanGraphs or do you want to DM me the address? THANK YOU. I love your work and think he’ll love the book.

Are you still selling signed versions of Cooperstown Casebook through an indie bookshop in Brooklyn? I’d like to get one for my son (whom you met at a FanGraphs event years ago!)

I think there was a hope that outdoor dining could help reimagine outdoor life and find a better use of street space instead of parking. But really that would require a complete redo of the street infrastructure and, sadly, our city’s governance doesn’t seem up to the task.

They were a lifeline during Covid but they soon became an eyesore as they weren’t kept up. And you would probably know better than me, but I’m guessing landlords started to capture rent for the outdoor space so it’s not as if getting rid of them hurts the restaurants.
