Last night I received an email from a small press asking for a manuscript re-write and re-submit. To be honest, I didn’t see that part at first, all I saw was “we can’t offer you a contract at this time, however…” and feedback. I’m grateful to @Timons Esaias for helping me to see the way forward.

At 2:30 am I stand in my driveway in pyjamas and winter coat to watch the eclipse of the moon, blood moon. The earth rotates, me on that earth, until shadow is cast between sun and moon. The distant sound of highway traffic, a shooting star, coyotes yip and howl, the faint sight of northern lights.

Last night I finished my first beginner drawing class and finally found something I could draw! As a writer, it was a good reminder to always be open to new ways of seeing.🙂
