The ads lead to ClaimsHero's website, where people are then tricked into believing that they are submitting a claim when they, in reality, may be "giving up the right" to settlement funds, the authors assert. "After luring class members in with promises of a 'three minute' 'claim application' for Anthropic, ClaimsHero's signup process actually gets class members to authorize ClaimsHero to do the opposite," the authors say in their motion. "Those who complete ClaimsHero's signup process authorize ClaimsHero to opt out of the settlement on their behalf and relinquish any right — for all owners of a given work — to a distribution from the settlement." Authors in the class action have accused Anthropic of exploiting their copyrighted works through "largescale theft" to train its flagship large language model, "Claude." They say that while Anthropic styled itself as a public benefit company, the San Francisco-based generative AI company "wrought mass destruction" to holders of copyrighted works. The authors say "virtually everything" about ClaimsHero would lead a reasonable person to understand that the company is a claims aggregator and not a law firm representing opt-outs. According to their motion, class counsel discovered over the weekend that ClaimsHero had launched a webpage titled "Anthropic Copyright Infringement" that was accompanied by an "aggressive social media advertising campaign intended to drive traffic to the website." The authors say ClaimsHero circulates paid advertisements on Facebook and Instagram that lure class members into visiting its website to quickly check if they're eligible to file a claim for compensation. They say that up until Monday afternoon, the website invited class members to start a claim. According to the authors, a "Frequently Asked Questions" section near the bottom of ClaimsHero's website stated that the company was representing authors and rights holders who intended to opt out of the Anthropic settlement. But the text was only visible to those who scrolled all the way to the bottom and clicked on the question, they add. Class counsel reached out to ClaimsHero and met with the company Monday, asking it to identify who used the website to submit opt-outs and all marketing associated with the asserted scheme, according to the motion. But ClaimsHero refused, insisting its marketing was appropriate, and it made only "superficial changes" to its webpage, the authors claim. They argue that the webpage "still confuses claims for opt-outs and, in any event, fails to disclose all the court-approved information class members need to make an informed choice." I remember loving this movie so much when I first saw it. Got excited when I heard there was going to be a sequel, but once it came out, my desire to watch had evaporated. Wonder if it’s any good.

I only ever played it with the DLC as I got the GOTY edition, so that was something I missed out on. Kind of a bummer since I like the occasional heroic sacrifice or Soviet ending.
