I think he’s as tired of the “always injured” label as we are and he’s making deliberate changes to address that (like the ankle braces). The moodiness could be coming from a lot of different places, some valid (spacing concerns, substitution patterns), some existential (“am I washed?”)

He talked a lot about intensity and quick substitutions to maintaining that intensity (we played DEEP last season), so I don’t think it’s an out of nowhere concept

You mentioned TIs people skills and buy-in. One point I would make is that multiple players followed him when he transitioned to Paris, indicating some evidence of his ability to get players to buy into his system. This doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a good NBA coach, but he’s done it before.
