I like what you're going for on it. Do you get anywhere further if you arrange the transitions more diagonally like this? Keeps the 4 column/seasons motif but feels more like time is passing.

I can't believe I forgot to mention Vaesen. Dark gothic meets Nordic folk horror. Again, not played, but were I to run something truly horrifying, I would probably do this one.

For those in and around white collar industries, I think it does continue to be one of the more beneficial and healthy "social media" sites. Primarily because it is much more self-contained to be about industry networking, and dodges most of the drama found elsewhere. But otherwise, not useful.

No personal experience to speak from, but I know folks who would scream from the rooftops to try Delta Green here.

I tend to run Halloween one shots as an immersive experience to terrorize and tantalize, where the system honestly matters far less than whether the players are enjoying the mystery.

So whenever they order food, walk through a market, or even ask for a drink at the bar, I come up with a unique dish off the cuff that aptly fits this location and this location only.

Roasted, steamed, or fired? Fresh greens or ground tubers? Plentiful meats or grains or fruits? (Usually there's one but rarely all.) You get your players immersed with the depth you provide for the things they interact with. Other trappings they're not paying attention to are more easily forgotten.

I don't often codify something across a setting. But I do go out of my way to make sure that when characters enter a new location, I give them a sense of the area's climate, economy, and biology, simply through the description of the local foods offered. >>>>>
