If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Lastly, Bakugo my beloved, you may have been an ugly baby but we love you anyway

The story establishes that AFO has basically been leeching off everything around him including his younger twin, and later we see Yoichi's light blown out in a scene where it almost seems like AFO "stole it", symbolizing the remaining faith that he had being "stolen" as we see a glowing AFO descend

it really only softens up once we start seeing more of Yoichi's side and him still holding on to the innocent faith that his brother still having some kindness left in him

A lot of the flashback segment in the new heroaca episode directed and boarded by assistant director Masayuki Otsuki, is almost bathed in oppressive lighting and post processing filters to sell the environment the twins were born and "raised" in

It culminates into this really awesome scene of the onlooker's prayers and hopes leading to All Might's death being averted

Nanami Michibata's framing of the start of the latest heroaca episode really emphasize the public spectating the ongoing battle from behind the safety of a cover, each scene has the subject behind an object/window/screen, symbolizing the hope that All Might and the heroes have created

so awesome

final scene in this week's heroaca captures the dissonance in the emotions Deku likely felt seeing Bakugo return really well. A mix of relief and dread of what fate awaits him after having touched death

These 13 episodes are packed with so many different relationships and character dynamics which together makes the conflicts and drama feel very authentic in a way i don't think the first season did

would you be able to guess that she's a rich and sheltered girl that has never tried coca cola before
July 22, 2025 at 7:11 PM
finally caught up to the point where i stopped watching the show when it was airing and i will never forgive 2023 me for doing that after an episode like **this**
July 22, 2025 at 6:15 PM
the core message of Tsurune is that girls rule
July 22, 2025 at 6:13 PM
i have a habit of just stopping shows(especially while airing weekly) for no reason other than me getting distracted with something else but that also means i can go back and just binge the whole thing that i missed and experience something special
July 22, 2025 at 9:53 AM
tsurune season 2 might possibly be good

you could say Munto is a collection of ideas that were refined over the course of nearly a decade but it always circled back to its thematic foundation

But the conclusion it reaches adds additional nuance to said foundation. Not only are you facing the future with courage, you're doing it together

The indomitable human spirit....
July 14, 2025 at 10:43 AM
and a big point the story makes is that you can't face the future by sacrificing those around you, division and sacrifice only sparks more conflict

and Yumemi coming to that realisation at the end really resonated with me
