My statement on the first week of the new Trump administration.

The text reads: "On day one of his presidency, Donald Trump pardoned unrepentant insurrectionists who violently beat a police officer’s face, tasered an officer to the point where he had a heart attack and beat an officer with a flagpole and stomped on his face. "The new Presidential administration did all of that while revoking policies that lowered the cost of prescription drugs, reducing health care coverage and access to the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid, stripped union protections from federal workers, and froze funding for the vital bipartisan infrastructure bill that Congress passed last year. "I’ve heard from constituents across Delaware who are scared right now. Yes, federal workers and public servants scared of political retribution. I’ve heard from transgender constituents and their families who are fearful of forced outing. Dreamers, immigrants, and refugees are fearful being pushed to the shadows of our communities again. "This past week, President Trump has intimidated and instilled fear in the hearts of some of the most vulnerable in our state. Meanwhile, he and his billionaire friends have unveiled plans to pick the pockets of the American workers, fleece seniors by privatizing seniors and Medicare, undermine reproductive freedom, and line the pockets of major corporations." The text closes with the Congresswoman's signature.
