Every time windows update runs, I make sure that copilot remains uninstalled and that Recall isn’t running. The day that Microsoft unhackably forces me to sign into a Microsoft account is the day I finally switch to Linux on my desktop, and my laptop remains as an offline DAW.

I explained my view a bit further in the note below. Obviously the biological incoherence is not the main problem with this executive order, but for whatever it's worth, this is why I think it's incoherent.
![The definition seems to be grounded in the theory of anisogamy. In our textbook we define this as
"A reproductive system in which at least two different kinds (sizes) of gametes—such as eggs and sperm—are produced.”
Humans (and other animals) are anisogamous. The idea here seems to be to equate femaleness with producing eggs or the capacity to do so, and maleness with producing sperm, or the capacity to do so. There are many problems with this definition for the purposes of the executive order, but let’s focus on the phrase “at conception”.
The words “at conception” create serious problems for this definition because makes it clear that the definition pertains at the time of fertilization, i.e., to the single-cell zygote. At that stage, sexual differentiation has not started to take place. So one has to ask what does it mean to “belong to the sex that produces the large/small reproductive cell [i.e., gamete]”?
In other words, we have to ask what “essence” of the cell, at the zygote stage, confers this property of belonging to one sex or another? It’s certainly not producing eggs or sperm yet. In biology, to answer this question that we would typically want to talk about causal pathways. The most plausible course for doing so would be to look at the sex chromosomes — is the individual XX, XY, XO, XXY, XYY, etc — but the executive order definition seems deliberately to avoid referring to karyotype, presumably to sidestep the wide range of human karyotype variation.
