Funny thing happened on the way to the forum:, when trying to clean up the text on the meme, Copilot decided to block it. No idea why it was flagged as "unsafe."

Whenever I think of Andrew Ross Sorkin, I remember that while in high school, he assisted advertising columnist (Stuart Elliot) at the NYT and had a business card with his title as "Xerox and Stapler Bitch"

The problem men face is the judgment of other men. That's it. They're trying to impress other men and failing. It's not the women at issue here.
And telling your sons that they can't go out unless they have money? Then they don't go out and get further isolated.

JFC NYT. Always Democrats in disarray day over there.

In blaming journalists for using logical fallacies, did he literally wind up using No True Scotsman himself (in this case, "a real journalist")?
Unbelievable. The ego on this man.

Sounds like SWOT brainrot.

This is a bad/weird sentence in the NYT, right?

I forgot about this. Probably because when I think of Marnie all I remember is:

Natalie Bovino, his sister, a nurse, is getting in on that Novo Nordisk cash and is so sad about Medicaid getting cuts to the drug in NC

Those bumperstickers sure tell a story (Reagan and Catch Criminals). I think granny's in real estate, of course. And mom marries a judge to make sure she never has to suffer indignity again.

Get a load of this photo and caption from that Daily Mail story. I guess when dad kills somebody with a car & you find a way to 'overcome it' then every other crime against humanity is easy.

Thank goodness someone else who read this! That with the next paragraph has had me confused for a week. Is Bergner saying that to study the middle you have to look at the extremes? Because that is wild. I haven't been able to make sense of these 2 paras to justify the angle that was taken.

And look at this a-hole Joscha Bach (cognitive scientist). I think Summers has said similar things about women not doing well in math and science because they choose to prefer approval and not puzzles.
And the race discussion here. 👀

I think I found Peters most important work. I dont think he moved on from his college days.

Complaining about older students (moms), fat chicks, try hards, & the Minority Peer Advisor (&, somewhat surprisingly, frat bros). I thought it was going to be satire.

The male loneliness epidemic (surveyed during pandemic!) seems overblown. There'a a lot of parity between women and men today in their average number of friends, but b/c men used to reported sooo many more, it's an issue?
Big problem is BOTH sexes report an increase of no close friends 1990 vs 2021

After all that "What is a woman?" blather, I knew "What is a real woman?" would be next. Now Helen Andrews is blaming women for (mostly) everything.
Even though David French NYT argued against it, the fact that it's even a topic in the NYT is astonishing. I almost stroked out from the title alone.

Making this story all the more laughable.

She's definitely a nepo baby. Dad is Richard Reingold. TV News executive.

It's your tone @NYTimes. I don't like your tone.

Who writes these headlines at the NYT? Is there an Edgelord residency I didn't know about?
October 24, 2025 at 4:45 PM
Sulzberger is on the committee list, so I guess he awarded it to himself.
October 23, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Seriously, @NYTimes what are you doing?
The HEDs alone and the photo?

I think it might be Trail Fixing Crew/Collective. It looks liks the Appalachian Mountains trail crews started in 1919. That looks like a white capped mountain in the design.

I mean, dont these 2 graphs show a more important story?
Also healthcare has increased as we have more treatments available than ever before. If all you have is leeches and bloodletting, healthcare gets really cheap.
