Journalists’ arrests chill their rights and abruptly end their reporting, removing them from newsworthy events.

The public is left less informed as a result.
In 2025, @pressfreedomtracker.us documented at least 32 instances in which journalists were detained or charged — just for doing their jobs.

Nearly 90% of them occurred while journalists were covering demonstrations.

You’re totally right and I agree with you on it
The UK has got to be the only country in the world that is politically held hostage by like 15 newspaper columnists that basically nobody reads
