Everybody involved in the chain of command, from Pete Hegseth down to the guy that hit the button to fire the missile had a clear obligation to refuse to comply and in not refusing committed two murders, for which they can and ought to be prosecuted and punished.

There is a lot of suffering in a country, but the bottom can actually fall apart. Our (very) flawed status quo is not the resting state of politics, and the very elites needed to guard that status quo are so convince that "worse things aren't possible" that they've opened the door to calamity
