but will they in ~3 years time?

and that matters more than any of this BS
November 13, 2025 at 12:14 PM
the amount of BS polling seems to increase daily, the longer Starmer is PM and the further away from an election we are.

There's a lack of Tory-style psychodrama in government and the press HATE it.
November 13, 2025 at 7:26 AM
No, I don't think the pound-shop Enoch Powell has ever been a PM contender and I hope he never will be.

He stirs up and forments race-hate like Powell did, but like in the 60s, there is a ceiling for such hate, particularly for those who will vote for it, in the privacy of the polling booth, I hope

I'm not sure Starmer is regarded with contempt by 'the overwhelming majority' I think he is deeply hated by the right-wing press and a very vocal minority.

Badenoch is an embarrassment to the Tories and most anything else.

Reform is a clown-car waiting to fall apart.

thankfully it remains absolute trash - I made the mistake of trying to get it to do a thing again today.... a simple thing

Aother post in an occasional series of 'I tried to use AI and it was shit again'

I've just made the mistake of trying to get ChatGPT to summarise some data, from a fragmented table on the IPSOS website.

People forget how long a parliamentary term is and we're not yet past the yard-arm on this one.

*could* is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

Shall we observe the arc of the SDP in the 80s and reflect on today's political environment? Too simple? Probably, but worthy of note...
November 12, 2025 at 8:36 PM
it IS fiction, after all. Continuity is overrated in imaginary worlds.
November 12, 2025 at 8:26 PM
you can work with and help people become better, more competent versions of themselves though.

Not AI.
November 12, 2025 at 8:20 PM
I hardly ever use any of them, because they're so badly built and when I do.... It strengthens that opinion, as they fumble another task.

Is the problem they're looking at their phone whilst doing what they've been asked? Sure feels like it

this included truncated datasets, inconsistently formatted dates - a smorgasbord of enshittified data.

I could waste another hour, or so trying to make this work, but honestly, I took the *initial data it output* and put it in a txt file, changed the extension, opened it in Excel and it was fine
November 12, 2025 at 9:06 AM
It read the data out in to an unformatted list, just fine, but then offered it as a csv, at which poitn it turned into a 16 year old moron excuse-machine.

there then followed about another 4-5 failed attempts for it to output the data in to a file

A while ago I judged listening to BBC News was very bad for one's health.

This is a position I stand by, but I'm curious to see what happens now Davie-Torie has gone.
November 10, 2025 at 6:59 PM
you're posting shyte.

No one in Reform has power to put a new Director General in position.

Probably not before 2029 and that's literally years away.

Maybe you don't remember how between elections the SDP was going to take over government in the 1980s.

Let's hope this is the same, but racists.
November 10, 2025 at 6:56 PM
Who says it isn't still an EV story, or not a story at all?
November 10, 2025 at 6:33 AM
except none of those people have the power to put new management in place and would have said those exact same things no matter what happened?
November 10, 2025 at 6:30 AM
Hear hear.

You're not exactly on here, constantly grifting!
