as a therapist, I can confidently say that a significant part of my work is helping asexual/aromantic folks move away from pathologizing themselves, and as a clinical supervisor i am often helping new therapists do the same.

natural selection kept gonads refined with ovaries, but evolution got cocky—by the time testes were on the table, natural selection was like, “maybe we keep it similar to the original concept?” and evolution said, “nah! make them clumsy, awkward, widely disliked, and painfully unavoidable. yeehaw!”
