The logically sound position regarding aliens is to acknowledge that we currently lack sufficient evidence to make a definitive truth claim either way BUT concluding they exist commits a probability fallacy. The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but it's also not evidence of presence.

I went to grad school to be a librarian after doing a philosophy undergrad. I worked as a librarian for exactly 93 days before taking a temporary job in an unrelated field. Now I work at a university and my tools are excel, stack overflow, and a pretty self-serving interpretation of Wittgenstein.
