"What if, instead of telling a story about how our species fell from some idyllic state of equality, we ask how we came to be trapped in such tight conceptual shackles that we can no longer even imagine the possibility of reinventing ourselves?”

Training new clinicians in the age of behavioral treatment and managed care is very challenging and disheartening.

I very much enjoy supervising young clinicians. I appreciate their passion and enthusiasm. It is very difficult, though, because the way in which I practice often seems fundamentally

I'm sorry my degree grade is not that good, I was struggling with severe anxiety, lack of community, practical problems, the maze-like bureaucracy of my uni and changing jobs every 2 to 6 months while studying.

Most of the internet used to be like this. This is actually the default, it took companies enclosing the internet and adding weird, soul-killing incentives to make people behave the way they do now. In a way, there is truly nothing special about Wikipedia except that it survived longer.
“Wikipedia is this economic anomaly. In many ways, it’s sort of magical that people will just volunteer without explicit economic incentives to create artifacts that are meant to share knowledge with everyone in the world”

Every psychology video on Youtube seems based on some self-helpslop like Atomic Habits or The Concise 48 Laws of Power and the content of these video is lackluster.
I don't understand why people think these books are in any way useful.

I hate deadlines, I hate writing psychological assessments when I'm up against deadlines. I'm terrified of writing nonsense and that whoever reads them will notice.
Instead of writing my reports, I started a PTSD course to distract myself from the work I should be doing.

Today is a sad day for me. Today I was supposed to work for the last time with the autistic boy I've been supporting for six months at school, however today he had a fever and didn't show up. I would have liked to say goodbye to him, I'm afraid I won't see him again.

Funny how the internet was created to make us more connected but then accidently made us less connected.

I think we might be using this wrong.
