Don’t think it’s just a oriole fan issue but mlb fans get so attached to their team’s prospects that trading one of them feels like a sin. Only 26 on a roster, not everyone drafted by your team will make the majors for your team or at all. They are all pieces of a puzzle to help improve MLB roster.

I love this BAZ trade. Maximize potential while you still can as we have no idea what’s going to happen with Gunnar, Adley, Westy, and Holiday in the long run. Most of the prospects traded likely won’t see the majors to 2029 or later. Well relaid the farm @orioles.com

Absolutely wild this is the world we live in currently. No accountability what so ever and no one seems to care.
It’s kinda wild the President is openly corrupt, Nazi sympathizing, and very likely a pedophile—and most Republicans in Congress are still willing to ignore the Constitution whenever he asks.

Jorge Mateo did not have his $5.5 million contract option picked up by the Orioles. He’ll be a free agent, per source, as Francys Romero first reported.
Mateo, 30, has been in Baltimore since 2021. He stole 35 bases in 2022. But an injury this year held him to 42 games
