Worth mentioning there's AI voicework for most NPCs at the moment for anyone that has that as a deal breaker.

Trust me, it's very noticable but allegedly it's placeholder till the dev finds humans to do it. Time will tell I guess.

The move to Godot was ultimately why the SAGE 2025 demo was cancelled back in April. The new demo build, built on Godot, will be at MAGFest on early January! After the MAGFest event is over, I will update the build and upload it to my itch page for everyone else to enjoy.

Many many enhancements are now possible thanks to Godot, which includes running the game at higher framerates, improved optimization (the game is running approx 5x smoother than the original), and I fully intend to take advantage of what Godot offers to truly improve the game as a whole.

Too many issues added up and I felt it was time to move on. Godot has been a steep learning curve, but a friend of mine has been helping me tremendously on the new version of the game.

Due to aging plugins and waning support, it was getting harder to have things work out as I've wanted, including localization and issues with loading external files (such as saves and metadata) from directories with unicode characters. And also on top of the level editor becoming slower to use...
