There sure is a lot of war talk today! Here's a different type, from Leonard Cohen: There is a war between the rich and poor,
a war between the man and the woman.
There is a war between the ones who say there is a war
and the ones who say there isn't.

I know Ghislaine Maxwell is a horrible person but I have to admit whenever I see the old snapshots of her I focus more on her terrible outfits than her damned soul.

During the first administration I figured he had dirt on people and they had to fall in line to avoid exposure. During this one I realize I was naive and they are all horrible fascists.

Instead of feeling anxious about every breaking news headline, I’ve decided to think, “OK, so we can’t count on the federal government for anything. Check.”

I'm getting really tired of the phrase "claw back funding." Please use something else, thanks!

No better way to build morale in the military than forcing troops to march down largely empty streets in a thunderstorm to celebrate a draft dodger’s birthday

The freedom to dissent without fear of government retribution is a vital part of any well-functioning democracy — which is why we will continue to exercise our right to protest in the face of President Trump’s abuse of power.

You know this escalation with sending 2,000 National Guard troops is exactly what Trump was hoping for. Incite violence. Blame the protestors.

Favorite Philly moment of the day: waiting for a bus I hear a car behind be blasting Maneater by Hall & Oates. I turn my head and see an older guy stopped at the light, nodding his head to the music. I nod, too. Give him a thumbs up. He gives me a thumbs up. The light changes and he drives away.

When a mockingbird lands on an obviously human-created sound (car alarm or other alarm-type sounds) I feel a mix of joy and shame.

We had a hummingbird moth in our little concrete yard today. Probably the closest I’ll ever get to having a fairy in my yard. It liked the phlox.

Note on car in front of my house reads: "I work at Cacia's bakery. At 4:15am I stopped a junkie from stealing anything in your car. Lock your doors. --Joe Cacia"
I was awake and heard him confront the "junkie." For his good deed he was called a rat!
