📚Dolly's writing is so mundane in the best possible way. It feels like a friend telling you a great story over some coffee, and the plot on this one is a very interesting departure from her previous work. Definitely recommend this one

📚 I read Yellowface before Babel, and it's a perfect entry point to Kuang's work. The plot is so unique and written from the perpective of the unreliable narrator, and it's impossible to put down from start to finish.

📚Babel is a masterpiece. It's about so much more than translation, it's about imperialism, colonialism and the power of language. If you have not read Kuang yet, then you're missing one of the best voices in fiction right now

Season 7 of Black Mirror just perfectly captured what I love about. It's so eerie, edging on terrifying because of how close and plausible it's reality seems in these times. My fav episodes were Common People and Hotel Reverie, the latter had that San Junipero aura over ti. Charlie never misses

This is in general a good book, but I think Midnight Library just ruined all Matt Haig books because it's so good it makes the others pale in comparison

This is easily one of my favourite books of the year, and it made Kuang jump up my favourite authors list too, I want to read Babel asap. I could not drop it for the last 100 pages, it was gripping and intense in a way I had not felt in a while. Brilliant concept too

Watched this on the day the Pope died and it's such a masterpiece. The tension, the cast, the costume design. It's an achievement and it was obviously incredibly relevant recently, so much so that some of the cardinals admitted to watching it

I finished this masterpiece, the last of the Beartown trilogy
It's such an intense experience, with some heavy themes but excellent writing and the tale of 2 towns that are different but the same
I will miss it so much

This was such a unique exploration of the dynamics of therapy, the influence of it in the lives of both patient and therapist and above all a really well-written collection of stories on a variety of themes that I did not expect going into it
