i think my growing disdain for social media as a whole is driven by the fact that the landscape is increasingly being made up of children who are less concerned with socializing & staying in touch than they are finding reasons to be miserable and angry all the time

I wish more people understood that faving a post or a one sentence reply to emotional suffering isn’t support; it’s barely acknowledgment. We’ve deluded ourselves into believing superficial interactions are meaningful. It’s another symptom of the enshitification of everything, and why we’re lonely.
