Yes whoever did the casting for it was brilliant

I haven't - I think it would lose some of its early 2000s BBC charm! And from looking at the synopsis of the film they make a few tweaks which seem to harm the story in order to get it done in 2hrs rather than 6. But it's a very watchable 6!
