That nuance will never be found online lol. Too performative. But part of my life's work is to have those conversations irl whenever I can. And usually it's not hard to help a frustrated lower class "white" person understand this tbh, if you're not talking to them like a condescending egghead.

Ultimately I hope for more nuance around whiteness & class, not to absolve white folks of complicity in bad things (bc we still benefit), but to get rid of this kinship with Power Whites who actually don't fuckin want like or care about us. We're just useful marks to them. Literal cannon fodder.

I grew up poor & have 0 familial wealth. Thus even though I have a good job, I have little savings, ever (3 digits, max). But I'm white so I can put on a clean shirt & cops won't harass me, & I can get interviews now that I'm in those walls. Couldn't have done even that if my skin wasn't pale enough
