Someone has monetized “my ex while watching a movie”? I never would have predicted it.

A job ad with multiple images, including the exterior of the museum, a view of collections (jars on shelves), and pictures of some cool, tropical fish but I don't know enough about fish to describe them other than to say they're pretty colors of yellow and blue/green

Many thanks to @jeffkopaska.bsky.social of @amfisheriessoc.bsky.social for donating this #sturgeon puzzle artwork to the NA Sturgeon and Paddlefish Society. The proud new owner, Thomas, from World Sturgeon Conservation Society will display this masterpiece in Vienna, Austria! nasps-sturgeon.org

We did have a great one. It was a MN trip, which had us stopping in IA there and back. I didn’t watch the OSU game yesterday, but I could hear the curses in the atmosphere. Not looking good.

Last week, we made another visit to Spirit Lake / Okoboji, Iowa, to pay our respects to the putatively “largest #paddlefish ever caught”. We also did some fishing. doi.org/10.1002/fsh....

Name those fish… 🎃
Just spotted this scene from the movie Hocus Pocus. Home decor of the Dennison family features two framed fish prints. Only context is that the family recently moved from Los Angeles to Salem. Left image appears to be a trout sp. 🤷‍♂️
Inside the Dennison home in the movie Hocus Pocus is a pair of fish prints- one with four species and the other with a likely trout species. Fish print featuring four species. I saw your mug featured on an easel, but knew you were at that *other* conference.

Congrats!

"Part of what we're doing here today is working with citizen scientist anglers who know how to catch these fish, and get samples that will contribute to our data to better understand these populations, their ecology, life history.”

Heilman: Bowfin fishing, research leads to new discoveries
Well, the native fish folks are at it again, stirring the pot and doing weird stuff in public. They’re relentless like that—but in a good way.
