I’m that guy that looks just like this that did that tweet that made you laugh that one time. UK based.
They had fun; maybe got some bumps & bruises but it toughened them up

The president will do whatever the president wants & claim he’s the Victim of conspiracy of truth

Look how quickly Greenland is in the rear view mirror. Look how quickly we moved on from January 6th. The shooting to Charlie Kirk.

Doesn’t it feel like this presidency is not about discussing the facts anymore but accepting it & moving on?

They tell you what they are doing. Because they accuse others of doing it. They broadcast a constant barrage of easily disprovable lies because YOU waste the time verifying the lies meanwhile their friendly media & online supporters move the conversation on.

Trump has gotten away with so much & his little band of opportunists, scapegoats, deviants & cannibals are fearful little gimps. Soon as the snake turns on them they will throw each other into the the threshing machine of public opinion. They are moral cowards. They know they are doing wrong.

The only way to beat autocracy is the grab hold of it & kick it in the balls until it starts squeaking &
Shits itself.

Otherwise it’ll just come back at you sideways. Every time.

I know of this and it’s true.

I’ve seen business that can completely disrupt sector: but it’s got private investors committed to 10 years plan for a VERY specific niche of industry.

Nah. Real estate business is way way off from real ML breakthroughs

Or 2) the business goes in low price per unit delivery, cutting legs from marketplace but ultimately the costs of tech go up and up. Rendering the business unappealing from a long term investment perspective whilst also destabilising the sector suppliers.

1) what typically happens to startups like this is they then get bought out by a big player. Who promptly learns nothing & just digests the upstart. End of story.

But guess what happens at end of that runway? Well you should have an AI first real estate business that can produce equivalent services at a better or similar level to a standing real estate business. That can grow exponentially.

Two challenges:
January 27, 2026 at 1:44 PM
Anyone in the startup business and wanting to say, disrupt a traditional industry (let’s say real estate) with an AI first offering would have to build a huge runway of cost to get it off the ground. Probably 5 years of funding.
January 27, 2026 at 1:42 PM
The barrier to AI ascension is, in fact, the humans.

You would have to start a business model from Scratch. An AI first business genesis.

And here’s the *extremely* ironic bit.
January 27, 2026 at 1:41 PM
In fact, the only people who seem like I be benefitting from the AI talked are the people doing the AI talking.

From experience I can tell you many of them have experienced 100 to 1000 X wealth increases.

Kent is unhappily on the front line of poor planning and bad excuses

Yes I think I did a grumpy thread once about how wealth & various economic measures surely don’t reflect the well being of the society
