Doodle could be considered by schools here. It's adaptive tech in maths/English/spelling.

Once the learners have accounts, staff don't need to level/set/mark anything, and learners have work at their level.

It can be done in a few minutes (or longer), and learners enjoy it!

Measurable impact.

Loving the first #NoOutsiders display this year. We are finding ways to make sure every child knows they belong regardless of nationality, and teaching that we all bring something unique to the school #Belonging #pshe

My girls are SO excited when they get a dress with pockets. So little of their clothing does. Cute reaction, but does speak towards clothes being gendered.

Georgia wanted pockets but girls’ trousers didn’t have them! Are clothes gendered? What happened next? Schools can use this great assembly to talk about gender stereotypes and how to challenge them #NoOutsiders #PSHE no-outsiders-assembly.blogspot.com/2025/09/trou...

Smile A LOT.

I legitimately received the advice to not smile before Christmas with my NQT class. Can’t think of worse, legitimate advice I’ve received in my life.

New #educators! All the very best for a great start to your career.
Remember,
1. Teach with your authentic accent
2. Know what you’re on about
3. Love the class(es) you have
4. Be a face not a shadow
5. Smile before Christmas
Please share! Cheers!

I would like to know your top picture books about pirates and treasure chests. Suitable for nursery/P1.

And also your best pirate activities! #EduSkyPrimary

I second the troll, and the wellerman.

I’ll add Neil Gaiman’s Pirate Stew! Fab rhymes and hilarious ending, and you could really flesh it out…make pirate stew out of ANYTHING, and they could turn into pirates. Could also do real food stuff.

Look after your headteacher!!!

We are still hearing too many stories of Headteachers at the end of their tether!

Heads do such a demanding job.

We really need to look after them!

Great shout, but after growing calendula to eat, I discovered it was the first thing I’ve ever been allergic to!

Just minor, but even the smell of them nowadays makes my throat close up a bit 😩

Calendula flowers (Calendula officinalis) from my herb garden last year 🌱

I use the flower heads in floral body oils mixed with rose and elderflower. They are really easy to grow and save seeds from.

Lots of calendula flowers in full bloom in an herb garden. The photo was taken on a bright sunny day. The calendula flowers are bright orange.

Are there any trusts whose executive team regularly spend days in school supporting with supply/teaching?

Seems a great way to deal with supply issues and see how things work in classrooms.

DoodleMaths is proven to boost attainment, and with that confidence, so could definitely help with the maths results here. And it's NC-aligned from R-Y9!
