Her “friend” straight people do this all the time. That other woman was her WIFE, not a friend. It minimizes the importance of her wife & sets a level of respect we give to the other woman. That’s why marriage was so important, wife (or husband) demands respect just not given to any other word.

2024 seems like a lifetime ago but her books are so prescient that you’d think she wrote it yesterday. She is a wonderful writer, beautiful prose but frightening subject. You’ll wish you were reading fiction.

2024 seems like a lifetime ago but her books are so prescient that you’d think she wrote it yesterday. She is a wonderful writer, beautiful prose but frightening subject. You’ll wish you were reading fiction.
