For the past six weeks, an AI Facebook account has been pulling my history posts on Instagram and slopping out new captions, so I’ve been feeding it poison pills and its followers are having meltdowns in the comments. It’s been pretty spectacular.

The stress on "historical tradition" implies that Congress a century ago could create strong protections for agency independence, but the President can ignore such safeguards if they're more recent. Maybe they can provide an exact cutoff year past which Congress no longer gets to make laws.
