Ok I have to see this

Losing stuff is bad for sure but the pure embarrassment of getting 2 words into a sentence and just being like "nope, that thought vanished into nothingness... All I remember is a vague feeling of it was super important"

In my Google photos one of my friends appears as Emily and then again totally separately as "Side Emily" which is just pictures of Emily when she's not standing up fully. Google's facial recognition leaves something to be desired

This is why it takes me ages to read fantasy books, they lightly describe a scene and I can walk around it in my head with every detail fleshed out, especially those not mentioned.

Discworld is always my reminder of this, the books are phenomenal but you can't translate most of the wit and little puns and quips into a film. Many have tried, some are fairly reasonable attempts but they aren't the books.

Can't help but notice we don't do well on any of them graphs... We need to stop hand wringing and calling for moderation and calm and be strong. Show the public we are the right choice with good ideas.

As a pc gamer I'm also very excited about it. If it does super well Linux gaming could become the norm, I yearn to be free of these Microsoft shackles 😂

Robot wars for sure. Although I worry the arena was becoming insufficient to protect the crowd in the last season lol

It also makes total sense why he's so willing to use his name everywhere in the films then too.

And it be easy to believe it would always be orphans the government is taking to turn into super spies.

Just have another orphan trained to 007 status, job done.

Or a coded way to tell us you're in danger? Pip blink 3 times if you are in trouble

I don't want to ask this do I... But morbid curiosity:

What's the odour difference between bad (gone off?) tinsel and tinsel that's aged like a fine wine?
November 10, 2025 at 3:21 PM
Oh Pip you know I'm here for you on anything but hun, with the greatest of respect... What the actual fuck? :') doesn't it all just smell of generic plastic and maybe some blue tack?

Have I been hanging smelly tinsel all this time and didn't know?

Imagine if you will, being true to the parties values may well be the right move!

"It's not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren't doing it" - Terry Pratchett
Upsetting the right wing is always worth it.

And a new wave of bisexuals shall be born!
November 5, 2025 at 11:35 AM
That's fair, Pratchett himself used to advise against it but honestly I still like the first 2 even though he hadn't quite found his feet and it was a different style.

When you get to the Guards though you are in for a treat.

As an fyi from a massive Pratchett fan, I recommend not starting with books 1 or 2, they were a parody of the style at the time and not like the rest.

Dependant on what you want from your fantasy depends on where to really start but I always recommend the guards or death series really.
