We have accompanied nine cats on their journeys through life. Today, we said goodbye to Macrina. She was 18 years old, born in our backyard in SC. The last five years, she has been friends with Dami and Cosmo.

Their addition to our family wasn’t planned. When they came to us, we already had 4. We discovered Junia with her kittens in our backyard. By the time we realized we had to take responsibility for them, only one of them was still living. In addition to Macrina, we now have Dami and Cosmo from 2020

My annual social media Halloween photo. Junia (the tuxedo) and Macrina, her daughter. Probably taken in 2008. Junia died in 2021; Macrina is 18 now and nearing the end of her life #catpics

Let’s see: plagiarism, profiting from the uncompensated work of others, the vast environmental toll. Yes, Episcopalians, let’s do this. It’s in our dna ⚓️

The magi have arrived. Grace has a 19th century Italian crèche brought back by parishioners. We still store it in its original shipping crate. The magi and their entourage are especially delightful ⚓️
