Regular attendance: 20 @ 8 and 100 @ 10. The surprising thing? There were visitors at both services

On the first Sunday of Advent this year, we had 9 inches of snow on the ground. It stopped falling about 7 am. There were 8 people at our 8:00 service and 45 at 10. It was something of a surprise because we hadn't had snow like this on a Sunday in several years.

Love this! Wish it were happening in the US and I could be part of it (I’ve been having an internal dialogue for some 30 years that may or may not be of interest to others).

Former Anabaptist historian here. “Terrorist” is an anachronism. They came to power legally because of their resolute opposition to the Catholic bishop’s efforts to control civic politics; moderate males abandoned the city leaving their wives behind to manage their property; but also apocalyptic ism

First visitation by the bishop of the reunited Diocese of Wisconsin to Grace. Two confirmands, one baptism. A young man approached me after service about baptism.

As an Episcopal priest, I always smile internally when I say “we are worthy to stand before you” in Rite II, Prayer B and then watch as congregants insist on kneeling

Let’s be honest. Traditionally, most people cooked turkey once or twice a year but the sides were in regular rotation so they were proficient at them. That’s why they tasted better.
