the "marketing" of m/m being free of misogyny and gendered hierarchy, ironically, diminishes the ways women and gay/bi men and people of all genders & sexualities write m/m often to explore these topics. imo. i think this does a disservice to fujoshis' analytical skills!

Somewhat hilariously, YouTube's restricted mode hides my most recent video on reading game guides, but DOESN'T hide my video on the Nuremberg Trials.

My major takeaway is DON'T SELF-CENSOR YOUR OWN WRITING. You don't know what will or will not be restricted!! Do not comply in advance!!!

over time I believe this will end up being one of the most unpopular things the administration ever does

a death sentence for many hobbies and all the average consumer sees is that you’re taking away all their bargains

one of the few policies that has a direct negative effect on almost everyone

NEW: 1km of Montreal’s Ste-Catherine Street will become permanently “pedestrian only” (less than perfect term since it will be a people-place for a LOT more than walking). 225+ new trees, vegetation-covered pits for rain drainage, more seating, illuminated canopy, financial help for businesses, etc.
Stretch of Ste-Catherine Street East to become pedestrian-only year-round | CBC News
The City of Montreal announced Friday their "ambitious" plans to transform a portion of Ste-Catherine Street East into a pedestrian road year-round, with redevelopment work starting in fall 2026.

To put it bluntly, this is a fucking disaster. For consumers, for small businesses and artists, for everybody. The US is cutting ourselves off from the rest of the world and for what?? Even if this gets sorted out or walked back, it’s going to cause a major disruption.

I've been saying this - these age verification laws are designed to be financially impossible for the vast majority of actors to comply with, forcing websites containing adult content to simply shut down.

with all the data breaches over the past few decades i'd say it's a terrible idea to have any company collecting & scanning, even temporarily, thousands of pictures of minors' faces

Does age verification actually work? AI critics are skeptical. Users are tricking these systems with video game characters. “All you are doing by putting these laws into place is pushing young people towards corners of the internet the government can't police." www.wired.com/story/age-ve...
Age Verification Is Sweeping Gaming. Is It Ready for the Age of AI Fakes?
Discord users are already using video game characters to bypass the UK’s age-check laws. AI deepfakes could make things even more complicated.
