Yes - I do think it would deter people from voting -- we all like to think we're brave, but when it comes down to it, people largely comply. Minnesota is heartening, but the number of people actively protesting is a small % of the population. Truth is I don't know, and neither does anyone else.

All they have to do is disrupt key precincts in areas where races are close. That doesn't take much brainpower, and it doesn't take much manpower. It just takes will and a sense of impunity - they have both.

Do you think they need people at every polling place to disrupt an election? To cause enough panic to keep people from voting? To prevent complicit authorities from declaring emergencies?

That's what I thought about illegal budgetary impoundment, closing federal agencies without Congressional approval, enforcement of the Privacy Act when DOGE came to town, etc., etc. They don't have to win the election to keep power, they just have to disrupt it. Disruption is easy if you're lawless.
