It's gotten so bad. I've been thinking of upgrading my memory, but there's no way that's happening now.

I think there's reason to suspect that this may partly be a temporary kneejerk market reaction to shortages, but even so, prices will probably settle at 2x what they were a few months ago.

The people mad at "whiny gamers" for rejecting $100 games feel so detached from reality that I don't even know how to respond to that. Most people who play video games do not post on social media. They're just normal ass people who will simply choose to do something else when they see a $100 game.

"The average profit margin in the video-game industry in recent years has ranged between 17% and 22%, according to estimates from S&P Global Market Intelligence, while coming in between 10% and 20% over the past six years at Xbox."

They were already profitable! And probably earning way more revenue

Yeah, I don't know why OneDrive is being treated as weird for a handheld to have. Cloud storage has lots of obvious utility for a handheld.

Hornet's heal is so satisfying when you time it to avoid an enemy attack at the same time. It would've gone hard in the Mantis Lords fight. It makes me wonder if that was one of the fights that inspired her design, back when she was just a DLC character for HK.

I'm also replaying HK after playing Silksong. Just got to the Mantis Lords, marveled at how trivial the first phase felt, and then all of a sudden oops, no healing in the second phase. There are very tiny windows you can maybe find, but it feels almost random, the bosses have to cooperate.

The study found 2.3 million metric tons of CO2 from inhaler usage last year. Meanwhile in 2022, automobile emissions totaled globally to 3.5 *billion* metric tons. Inhaler usage contributed to less than 0.1% of the emissions of cars.
