#OnThisDay 26 June 1657 Oliver Cromwell's second installation as Lord Protector was held at Westminster Hall, under the revised constitution in a ceremony reminiscent of a royal coronation. This ceremonial sword in our collection was worn by Cromwell that day. #17thCentury #OTD
