Didn’t we send high minded, Ivy League geniuses to set up the kleptocratic structure? Or were they innocent bystanders stuck between a rock and a hard place?

Blinken switched to Calibri because it is an easier font for the lexically challenged. While the pursuit of opportunities to be cruel is par for these creeps, the lengths to which a pusillanimous douchebag like Rubio will go to cause at least some pain is mind boggling.

Hats off to the geniuses who ridiculed Jeffries for endorsing his pardon. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could win with a team of good guys only.

To be honest I’d have learned about and noted the story, Nuzzi was a fixture on MSNBC during the first kakistocratic term, Lizza was a New Yorker guy who became a media figure and “he tooer”. But the attention that smarter people than I pay to them baffles me. I should reassess something.

Why are people giving this so much attention?

My family took me for my 83 b’day knowing that I prefer funny movies with talking animals. It seemed a funny, feel good, movie telling a story in which the good guys and tolerance win. The idea that we’d expect kids movies to show otherwise is really wild.

Grew up poor among the poor. Left home. Stayed poor through early adulthood. Became middle class in early middle age. At peak earnings went to an accountant recommended by a neighbor. His first remark was, “ you’re poor for your neighborhood aren’t you.“

I have thoughts.

For me one of the mysteries of the econ-blogging polymath ecosystem is the continuing high regard in which Delong holds Smith who seems at times bat shit nuts.

Write a complaint to the Medicare support email account about their sending trash to our emails. “And thou beside me, yacketing in the wilderness.“

Friends, colleagues, neighbors fading before our eyes as they walked beside us. Familiar strangers in the street deteriorating from week to week as they passed by with flickering, fading lights in their eyes. The absolute worst of “normal” times. Haunting.
