Started to write it as a simple post, and then it exploded into the full-blown blog post. Plus, I wanted to share a few photos.

I hope you enjoy it 👉 screenshotone.com/blog/200000...
Trying not to share my recent hobbies/curiosity pursuits with people in public. Not doing it for money either.

I don't want to start performing and optimizing for a specific goal. Doing it purely for joy and my mental health.

Damn... I can't recommend it enough.

I won’t share accounts, but predictions about Google losing the AI race a year or two ago is all you need to understand about social media “oracles”.

What people think brings me customers versus what really brings me customers:

Better Stack reports it as up, but ScreenshotOne is down since we run our API gateway as Cloudflare Workers.

I wonder how Better Stack successfully manages to run API requests.

ScreenshotOne is available on Postman Public API Network 👉 www.postman.com/screenshotone 🙌

If you have an API product or your product has a public API, consider adding Postman public collections with examples of how to use your API:

you might have the biggest ego in the world

but i like that running a business humbles you

less ego leads to less stress, better decisions, more joy, more peace, clearer communication

Got to $300,000 ARR and 650 paying customers (companies, makes, and developers) for ScreenshotOne.com!

Thank you everybody for your support and trust 🫶

I can't believe it, but $1,000,000 ARR is only 3 times of that and it seems achievable.

P.S. 30-50% of that is expenses before taxes.

ai is only a bubble if there is a bottleneck to consume all productivity gains it generates

you have two wheat fields to process
you buy five tractors to process these fields fast

buying more tractors (~more and better models) won't help with anything, you only have two fields

You do not know what keywords/prompts AI ranks you for.

But you see to what pages it sends traffic. It is not a huge problem to reverse-engineer that. Especially if you ask that same AI.

the only people you need to prove something to… are your kids

build cool stuff (together, too), play football with them, love their mother, travel together, challenge them, be a lighthouse of values, show that you don’t give up when it is tough, and give up when it is dumb continue

I know this is a sponsored post. I see you promoted your product in my replies. I understand you want to sell me your course through the “lifestyle posts” funnel.

All good. No worries. I don’t judge. Life is hard. Everyone needs a way to make a living.

I tried to talk at least one customer per week. Or via the support chat or reaching out myself.

Framing my discussions with my customers as future blog posts and documenting everything helps me a lot. It is my factory of insights.

A short cycling session before the beginning of the day and...

Back to work!

I don't understand. A lot of consumers sign up to ScreenshotOne to make screenshots of the websites.

Gained a dofollow backlink from HubSpot without doing anything.

ScalableDeveloper.com/ is my technical blog where I don't sell or market anything. But I write the best piece of content possible on the topics I am curious about.

Maybe that's the reason why many link to it?

Opened LinkedIn. And instead of "Looking for a job," I see "Are you hiring?"

Don't underestimate how much your life can change in 4 years.

Stay in love, stay curious.
Keep going, keep trying, keep shipping.

I checked submissions to opengraphexamples.com.

I need to rebuild it and automate that. I can't process 200+ responses manually anymore.

It has traffic and ranks high for many keywords on Google. People find it organically and submit a lot.

If you raise a lot of money or sacrifice your life to earn a ton only to impress others, reconsider it.

It might not work as you expect, and it's a pity to sacrifice so much for that.

Since I launched ScreenshotOne in 2022 until today, it has:

321,312 unique visitors.
34,446 signed up (10% of visits).
1,264 subscribed for at least one month (3.5% of sign-ups).

$25K MRR product, but you need to work on it 2 hours daily at least. $15K profit.

Or $1M in cash?

All that before taxes.

From overreacted.io/react-for-t..., one of the most beautiful explanations I have ever read about why React Server Components:

I never thought about that, maybe you, too, but one of the best decisions recently:

Instead of using the washing machine everyday, I bought 5 T-shirts and shorts for running/cycling/football and wash them only once a week.

My 2 insights from a chat with founder of saaspo.com on:

1. Your competitors are often the tools that show how people do the work. He uses a Chrome extension, not another screenshot API.
2. He has been a customer for the past 3 years. I want that to be 10 years.

Is it a first launch on Product Hunt in 2025 that doesn’t mention “AI” in every sentence?

What if I am a complete loser?

I feel I could hack my way to please algorithms and figure out what to do to make much more money. But I focus on pursuing my curiosities, regardless of money and attention.

What if my pursuit is a beautiful narrative to trick myself, and I am just lazy and dumb?
